Noindex Page

This page has Settings > Robots Noindex

This is a normal page, without a password. However, it could still be considered a 'hidden' page. That's because I have put some special code in the Page Settings to stop it being visible to search engines.

Read instructions for setting noindex on a page here >

I actually use this code instead, as an extra measure (it stops search engines from following links on the page, too):

<meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">

Will the internal search box find the word coconuts ? Yes, because this page is just a normal page, so even though it's hidden from external search engines like Google, it's not hidden from the internal site search on your Squarespace website. Try it yourself - type the word coconuts into the search box in the right column.

The page will also be visible to anyone who has the URL. But, it won't be visible to anyone who searches for your website on Google.

For example, if you go to Google and type:

square-help.com coconuts

This page should not show up.
